Gaea and the Dragon

These twin, fifteen foot tall carvings fashioned from reclaimed cedar hydro poles, embodies ideas of masculine and famine energy and how the artwork’s patron weaves those powers into the fabric of their families’ interpersonal and business philosophies and successes.

Each sculptural design is composed along a spiral, one sculpture rotates clockwise the other counter clock wise. Along these spirals carved symbols, many in the form of animals, reveal the artwork’s hidden message that culminates in the sculpture’s capital, one an eagle the other a phoenix.
